GRATA...right off Sutton Place! Tell em Montgomery Frazier "The Image Guru" sent you!

I had a lovely dinner tonight with "The Ben" at my ole' friend Ariel's new restaurant, GRATA, right off Sutton Place! We couldn't have been more taken care of more and welcomed like royalty. The food was DELISH and I'm completely stuffed like a FAT LITTLE PIG FROM HELL!

No really, we had a marvelous time, the food was yummy-tasty (mussels, mini meatballs, asparagus soup, wild mushroom pasta, and the spagehtti bolognese) and the atmosphere not stuffy or prententious at all and it was actually quite pleasant and the prices were moderate and not inflated. Had a fantastic bourdeaux. I will definitely go back and recommend it to my circle of peeps! Thanks Ariel and the staff for a lovely evening!

DO I KNOW YOU?

I consider myself VERY LUCKY in the age department, because I think I've kept myself up pretty well over the years...good genes I guess! However, I do get a bit FREAKED OUT when I see people, in my own age category or even younger, looking like they're trying to look like pre-op teenage trannies! (and I know some FABULOUS TRANNIES) NO NAMES PLEASE. But it's a bit disconserting for me to see them again after a few years and barely being able to recognize them because they've been so completely and utterly AUGMENTED and ENHANCED with every kind of cosmetic surgery known to mankind and womankind! Does that make me a BITCH for commenting? Maybe...but to each his own I guess! I hope they're happy with their new selves! I guess when I start looking like a saggy handbag, then I might reconsider! Maintenance my dear internet puppies...never take for granted what GOD gave you!

ZELDA KAPLAN, New York Fashion Plate Drops Dead At Fashion Show!

I simply can't imagine "dropping dead" whilst sitting in the front row of a fashion show! How embarrassing for the designer and hugely awkward for the models, attendees and ushers and thoroughly unfortunate for the deceased and their family. What does one do when this happens?....

Well it did happen at the last Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, in the front row of the Joanna Mastroianni Fall 2012 showing at Lincoln Center for a venerated & legandary fashion icon and New York social fixture named Zelda Kaplan, who was apparently loved by all!

Talk about a "die hard" fashion plate! No pun intended and not to make lite of this, but how did I miss this? Apparently it was on the cover of The Post etc,etc etc. That just goes to show you that fashion can literally be the "be all and end all" WOW, I was shocked when I heard this story last night at a smart U.E.S gathering. But what a way to go....just as she lived...in Fashion!
