"Prelude To A Death" Amy Winehouse!

With all the remorse, shock and disbelief surrounding Amy Winehouse's untimely death at the tender age of 27.....my opinion is simply that it wasn't her destiny to live a long and well adjusted life. But that's all subjective now, isn't it?

Her death, although tragic to some, will ultimately serve as yet another pathetic example of a squanderous waste of talent. But looking on the bright side, in the land of the living, hopefully her death will have some sort of resonance or significance in someone else's life. Just like Janis Joplin and so many other creatively, self-destructive individuals like Morrison, Presley, Monroe, Dean, McQueen, Holiday the list of wasted talents goes on and on and on. Amy Winehouse now joins that illustrious group of "icons".

Michael Jackson, one of the greatest talents of our time, sang about his joys, his loves, his utopian views of the world and his ultimate fears and disallusionment with humanity and then the utlimate betrayal of his fans and he was also "gone too soon". I don't personally feel that he lived a tragic life, if you consider not having a childhood and being reared by a demon father tragic, but he did die of personal isolationism! But for what reason......to be immortalized, no because of his disappointment with a world that simply didn't understand his childlike ways. What's the point of Michael's death, what's the point of Amy's death, or for that matter any of the great legends that have died at relatively young ages...I really can't tell you, because I honestly don't know. I've never been self destructive, so I don' think there is any great reward for one's own self destruction, regardless of how tormented our lives can be and I've seen my share of agony, pain, suffering, torment and guilt. But I guess my own instinct for self preservation is stronger than are my own demons.

But where was her family in this scenario? Her mother admittedly knew that her daughter would ultimately die of an overdose and die she did! At least that's the speculation, I mean that she died of an drug overdose, which her excessive drug use was widely and worldly publicized, although the official autopsy report isn't in yet. Why couldn't someone conduct some sort of effective intervention? Was her life that predictably scripted and was her destiny sealed in ink so much so that nobody tried to do anything.....and if someone did try to do something, then why didn't it work? Why doesn't it ever work with interventions? Why indeed! Amy was English cool and her life was like watching a sinking ship and her fans were like her captive shipmates and they all danced and sang without abandon "no, I won't go, no, no". Her private life of drug overdose overshadowed her potentailly long life of great music! And now we mourn for the shipwreck named Amy Winehouse, that we all knew would invariably hit the proverbial iceberg!

As Freddy Mercury immortalized.....".another one bites the dust heh, heh!"..........But I think I'll stick to the land of the living for now and not die a tragic legend, thank you. There are two words that I've never particularly liked much and those are PATHETIC & TRAGIC and Amy Winehouse's death was both. There was unfortunately no nobility in her death and she should have gone to rehab, I say yes, yes, yes!

Threre's an interesting spiritual and karmic ebb tide going on in our universe now!

Despots, dictators and terrorist Machiavellians are being hunted, assassinated, or rotting of cancerous diseases. Once omnipotent media titans and banking and investment rapists, ponzi scheme scam artists are being dragged on the carpet for public scrutinization and retribution and generally the world is going through massive global warming upheavals and revulsions of mammoth proportions because of all the toxicities we've been pummeling our planet with.

Fat, gluttony and excess is not what it used to be, as there seems to be a movement of health and wellness and the desire to "save the planet" from our own excesses.

Yes, there are still clueless people out there living like they're the only people on the planet, without the slightest regard for anyone else but themselves, but I have to see that I do see a light at the end of a long tunnel of darkness of selfishness and "stupid thinkers", or more aptly non-thinkers!

It seems as if there is indeed a spiritual war (not religious, like so many of the flagrant morons and charlatans who misrepresnt God would like to pronounce) of the proverbial "good versus evil". I for one, wish to be on the winning side....the GOOD!

Am I a saint? Hell no! I am but a mortal human with frailties, insecurities, temperaments and anguishes, love, and hopes and dreams for a better humanity. I am a simply-complex human being, smart and dumb enough to know the difference between "right and wrong"!

We all have to make our minds, on which side we wish to be on! The dumb silent masses, who would jump over a cliff if someone speaking loud and often enough told them to do, or the people who go out on a limb and live according to their consciences!

Now was that simple enough for you?
